Charles Thomas had 2 base hits and 2 RBI at the ballpark where the Lewisville
Fire Ants beat the Tampico Stogies by the score of 5 to 4.
Lewisville took the lead for good in the 4th inning plating an isolated run.
Tampico had a chance in the 9th but they came up short.
Mark Buehrle(3-2) picked up the victory, allowing 1 run in 6 and 1/3 innings.
Chad Cordero gained credit for his 2nd save. Daniel Cabrera(1-1) was charged
with the loss. He allowed 3 runs and 4 hits in 6 and 1/3 innings.
Mike Aldrich was subdued when questioned after the game, 'Sure, this kind of
loss takes a while to get over, but heck, we're all professionals. We've
been through this many times - it's the nature of the game. We'll be fine -
as for me - I'll be ready to go again tomorrow!'
